- A Business View of the Swedish Government’s Better Regulation Programme

The Board of Swedish Industry and Commerce for Better Regulation (NNR) has published its annual evaluation of the Swedish Government's programme to improve the regulatory environment for business.

This year‘s Regulation Indicator highlights that the progress made by government in terms of the better regulation programme is in stark contrast to how businesses in Sweden experience the burden of regulation. Establishing why there is such a contrast is the main challenge for future better regulation work in Sweden. Government work to simplify the regulatory environment must correspond to businesses‘ experience of the results of this. This is necessary if the Government is to achieve its overarching aim of delivering a noticeable positive change in the day-to-day running of a business in Sweden.
